I have been collecting first-edition Penguin books for over 30 years. In that time I accumulated almost 2,000 duplicate titles across the full range of Penguin imprints and series: Pelicans, Specials, Puffins, Plays, Classics and so on ... I am now hoping to sell these 'spare' copies to other Penguin collectors (new or established) or to people interested for other reasons in any of the books.
Most of the books for sale were first published by Penguin before late 1969 when SBNs (later ISBNs) were introduced. It will be clear if the book is not a Penguin first edition or has a SBN/ISBN.
I launched the site with 60 or so pre-war main series titles, and small numbers of early Pelicans and Puffin Story Books. I add new titles as often as I can and I will also be broadening into the other series. So please bookmark the site and check back regularly.

POSTAGE AND PACKING
I normally send books purchased within two working days of cleared payment, but I will contact customers if there is a delay. Local delivery or collection in person are also possible.
While ensuring that books are well packed, I reuse packaging materials both as a matter of principle and to reduce costs.
I do not charge above cost for packing and postage, and use untracked 2nd class or standard postage rates unless the customer requests a particular service. From February 2023, Royal Mail has changed its pricing structures for UK deliveries (and will do so soon for international services), reducing the number of price points for large letters and small parcels and introducing a new 'medium parcel' category.
Note: an algorithm associated with the shopping basket calculates the postage based on the weight of the books and the destination. However, it is not always accurate because the dimensions of the parcel cannot be predicted accurately - particularly when several books are bought at the same time. I will do my best to pack the books in the way that minimises the charge and will refund any postage that has been applied automatically to your order. If in doubt, please ask about postal charges for purchases of several books, especially for international destinations, ideally before ordering.
INTERNATIONAL CUSTOMERS
Some countries charge import duties and/or a general sales tax on used books. Each country has its own laws and rates of duty/tax. Sometimes there is a price threshold which may mean that splitting an order can eliminate such charges. This may be the cheaper option even if the postage price is higher.
Customers are responsible for paying any duty or tax to the local customs/tax agencies (and any handling fees charged by those agencies). I am not allowed to include them in my prices or on my invoices.
RETURNS and REFUNDS
If I agree that a refund is appropriate, I will repay by PayPal or to the payment card used for the original purchase.
I will not make refunds if you return the book without prior agreement.
